Our client is looking for a disciplined Accounts Payable Clerk to ensure suppliers are paid accurately, on time, and in line with internal controls. This position is central to maintaining strong vendor relationships and protecting the business’s cashflow integrity. You will work with high-volume invoices, follow structured approval workflows, and help keep reconciliations clean and current. The role suits someone who is methodical, organised, and comfortable with routine while still being able to investigate discrepancies. You will collaborate closely with procurement and finance to resolve queries and improve process efficiency. Receive, review, and capture supplier invoices and credit notes accurately into the finance system.
Perform three-way matching where applicable (PO, GRV, invoice) and follow up on missing documentation.
Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve outstanding items with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Prepare weekly/monthly payment runs, ensuring approvals and supporting documents are complete.
Maintain an AP age analysis and escalate overdue/blocked items appropriately.
Assist with month-end close by preparing AP schedules and ensuring cut-off accuracy.
Maintain proper filing and audit trails for all AP transactions and supplier master data changes.

Matric is essential; finance/bookkeeping certificate is advantageous.
1–3 years Accounts Payable experience in a structured finance environment.
Experience with an ERP/accounting system is advantageous.
Solid Excel skills (filters, basic formulas, reconciliation formatting).
Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and good time management.
Professional communication skills for supplier query handling.
