Our client, a leader in the Manufacturing sector, seeks to employ an assertive, professional, qualified and experienced Accountant, who has strong experience in financial accounting, specifically in the engineering, FMCG or manufacturing sector, with experience in foreign exchange transactions, for their fast paced group head office, based in the Winelands.

PLEASE NOTE: candidates from the manufacturing or related industry will receive preference due to requiring experience in production costs, foreign exchange transactions and inventory control.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You must have completed a BComm degree, coupled with 5-10 years experience performing a full financial function up to balance sheet, including foreign creditors management, within an engineering or manufacturing company

Proven experience in monitoring and analysis of monthly reporting, assisting with formulating the group’s annual budget and accurately forecasting production, investment and ad hoc project costs

In addition, you will have experience in VAT returns, VAT recons and annual/provisional income tax returns

You must be able to work under pressure, have an assertive and proactive working style and have a track record in meeting deadlines.

You must have worked on an ERP system (such as SAP, QMuzik, Syspro) and have advanced Excel skills

Preference given to candidates resident in the Winelands and Cape Town Northern Suburbs.
