Accountant - Kempton Park

Our Client is seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Finance Accountant / Financial Reporting Specialist to strengthen their finance function. This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who thrives in structured, compliance-driven environments and enjoys working with complex financial data across multiple entities.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting group reporting, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal control standards. This position requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and analytical capability.

The role is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and audit readiness across the organisation. The Finance Accountant will work closely with senior stakeholders to support statutory reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and compliance activities.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Perform group consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including consolidation and variance analysis.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions.

Accounting Operations & Controls

  • Review, approve, and post journal entries.
  • Manage financial provisions and accruals.
  • Prepare detailed schedules and reconciliations to support audits.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal audit requirements.

People, Governance & Compliance

  • Support and oversee human resources-related financial processes, including payroll inputs and cost allocations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and data integrity across all financial activities.


Technical Competencies

  • Proven experience preparing annual financial statements.
  • Strong background in financial consolidation and reporting.
  • Solid working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience supporting budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Ability to prepare and manage audit schedules and reconciliations.
