A leading manufacturing company within the paper industry is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant Assistant to join its Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a finance professional with experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management and financial reporting.

Minimum Requirements

BCom Accounting, Cost & Management Accounting or Finance
CIMA qualification or studying towards CIMA will be advantageous
SAICA/SAIPA articles or equivalent experience will be advantageous
Previous experience within the paper, pulp, packaging, printing, converting or FMCG manufacturing industry will be highly advantageous.
3–5 years' experience in a similar role within a medium to large manufacturing environment
Experience with standard costing, variance analysis and management reporting
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Syspro, JDE or Oracle
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Key Responsibilities

Assist with manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing
Perform variance analysis and prepare financial reports
Support inventory management and stock control processes
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Provide financial support to manufacturing operations
Assist with cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with financial policies and reporting requirements
