5 x Utility 2 Operators

Our client is seeking a skilled Utility II Operator to operate, maintain, and support production equipment within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines operate efficiently, minimising downtime, maintaining product quality, and supporting production targets.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (NQF 4).
• Trade Tested Artisan qualification (NQF 5).
• Minimum 3 years' operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, SAP/ERP systems advantageous).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and maintain production machinery in accordance with operating procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure optimal production output and product quality.
• Perform basic maintenance and fault-finding to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
• Ensure extraction, cooling, and related systems are operating effectively.
• Complete production logs, job cards, and required documentation accurately.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and company compliance standards.
• Report equipment faults, risks, and operational concerns promptly.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
